Active antennas

Intelligent active GPS antenna - DCF77/RS232 receives the GPS signal (L1 band), analyzes and decodes the time and date information contained in it to synchronize the device's internal time base. Based on this UTC compliant time base, tested time information is generated as an output signal which can be output as either a DCF77 faithful pulse length signal or as decoded serial time information. The output signal is available as voltage level (3-wire system). When the housing is open during installation, a 4-pin DIL switch can be configured to set the format and the level position of the output signal, the transmission speed of the serial data output and the offset hours (-11h to +12 h) for the time zone.
The ST/WT changeover is automatic and always conforms to the DCF77 time, but it can be deselected.

Reception and analysis of the GPS signal are held constant. A flashing green LED indicates the validity of the time information available at the output.
When the GPS signal is received, it is evaluated. The result is indicated by a red LED strip inside the unit and output as part of the status bits in the serial data protocol. This allows optimal positioning of the device during installation. The GPS antenna receiver is hemispherical. (The cable outlet at the opposite side of the case must be directed upwards).
The control button (S1) can be used to RESET the GPS receiver, whereby the display of satellites can be initiated manually during installation. An existing, valid time base is not compromised, the time/date information will continue to be output.

All the electronics are housed in a plastic housing with protection class IP65, which is equipped with cable gland MBF16. Mounting materials and connection cable are not supplied.
